Our Story

Though the pain of loss remains, I believe in the power of enduring love and the strength found in carrying forward the legacies of those we hold dear. As I walk this path of healing and remembrance, I hold onto the belief that we rise by lifting others, guided by faith and a desire to bring glory to a higher purpose.”

Benji’s Bayside provides a platform to honor Benjamin W. Hess and his sisters, Rebecca (twin) and Sarah.

With each passing day, I strive to find light, hope, and goodness in the face of devastating realities. By lifting others and trusting in a higher power, I navigate the complexities of grief and continue to cherish the memories of my son while drawing inspiration from my daughters' resilience.

Benjamin unexpectedly died by suicide on January 3rd, 2022.

The immeasurable grief and pain that followed challenged Amy to find solace in faith and eternal love. While grappling with this profound loss, she discovered truths that sustained her. Those of which remind her of Ben’s impact during his time on this side of Heaven.

As time passes, Amy holds dear to these truths, finding strength in honoring Ben's memory through living a life of honor and purpose. Benji’s Bayside is named after Benjamin to honor her late son. Inside you can find freeze-dry snacks and other homemade treats labeled Two Sweets Sisters, which is named after Amy’s two daughters.
